Title: Lecturer of Forensic Science

Description: Loyola University Chicago, College of Arts and Sciences, Interdisciplinary Forensic Science Program invites applications for an appointment as Lecturer of Forensic Science for academic year 2022-2023.

Teaching responsibilities shall include a 4-4 teaching load. For the chemistry department, courses will be taught in Drug Chemistry, Forensic Toxicology, Physical-Organic Chemistry, and Quantitative Chemical Analysis. For the biology department, courses will be taught in Forensic Biology and Molecular Biology (DNA). Additional coursework may be required in either the chemistry/biochemistry or biology departments to complete a full-time teaching load.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A candidate for the position will be required to have:
• A Ph.D. in chemistry, toxicology, biology, or biochemistry
• Experience as a forensic science practitioner in an operational laboratory or forensic science academic experience
• Special consideration will be given to applicants whose teaching and mentoring experiences include an explicit commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
